Get The Look featuring Madame Moje : Ruffle some feathers

If there's a Canadian designer that's not afraid to take risks, it's Madame Moje. The line describes itself as "fiercely feminine silhouette driven design", and we weren't disappointed for the Fall collection. This red, ruffled, Flamenco-inspired dress with peplum skirt came down the runway with serious drama. Applause! Now that's what we call a good Fashion Week!

Fashion & Beauty Inc : WMCFW runway Review: Madame Moje FW14 plus Exclusive Interview with Malashnee Naidoo {Video}

Madame Moje's Fall/Winter 2014 collection was sexy, elegant and overall one of the biggest hits of the week!

The runway show oozed glamorous and was filled with excellent tailoring and a keen eye for what compliments a woman's body. Some of the major trends in the collection included peplum, peplum and peplum!  After the show, Naidoo told F&B Inc that even though peplum became an it-trend a few seasons ago, "if it looks perfect why should it go away?" F&B Inc couldn't agree more! Backstage after the shows guests were gushing about how flattering all the dresses and coats in the collection were and it is safe to say everyone woman sitting in the audience was lusting after at least one of the gorgeous pieces in the collection!

Overall, the collection was pure sexy (while still staying conservative and classy) and of course totally timeless. All the pieces mapped all the curves of a woman's body and were designed with Hollywood celebrities in mind! The eye-catching jewel tones as well as blacks and whites that dominated the show were stunning and the runway show was definitely a success!

First Comes Fashion: Madame Moje FW14

First Comes Fashion: Madame Moje FW14

Madame Moje has an undeniably diverse foundation, as co-founders Malashnee Naidoo the creative director, as well as her business partner and husband Hamed Emtiaz, established the Canadian brand upon relocating to Vancouver from Singapore in 2012. The label is known for its Parisian elegance featuring modern classic silhouette driven designs centering on signature body-hugging dresses, easy chic playsuits, knit separates, sleek jackets, sophisticated trenches and outerwear. Naidoo qualified as a Chartered Accountant, built her lucrative career in finance before beginning her work in the fashion industry, and ultimately envisioning her designs for Madame Moje. Her style icons include Jackie Onassis and Victoria Beckham, and she finds inspiration in the works of fellow designers like Ellie Saab and Haider Ackerman. Emtiaz, whose background is in electronic engineering, has an MBA degree and over 10 years management experience in multinational investment companies. As head of business development, he is looking forward to taking Madame Moje global. - See more at: http://www.firstcomesfashion.com/designer/fallwinter-2014/madame-moje-fw14#sthash.gdP9iH6D.dpuf

A June Floral - Diary: My First Fashion Week Experience

We attended Hilary MacMillan, Madame Moje, and Narces’ runway shows that afternoon. All three designers knocked it out and I was so honoured to be able to watch the masterpieces these designers created walk down the runway. I have put a trend report together for my internship (you’ll learn more about this Friday), and I’ll update this post with a link as soon as it publishes!

The Closet Lust - My Time at WMCFW

Next was Madame Moje, which took place on the runway and boy, did that make my insides flutter. I was sitting third row with “designer guest” on my seat making me feel even more important, and I was facing a long runway amongst some very fashionable people. Madame Moje’s collection included peplum (which I guess will be making a comeback), lots of color, and many fabulous dresses that RfR can definitely make room for in the showroom.

jaynessmiles showed us that Vancouver-based Madame Moje should have west-coasters lining up for these beautiful dresses.

Fashion according to JHake - Madame Moje Brings Sexy back

As Justin Timberlake said, I’m bringing Sexy Back, the same thing with Madame Moje. The Canadian label surely made a gorgeous statement yesterday.

Madame Moje is a Canadian Label that is known for their luxurious Ready-To-Wear womenswear. Their designs are more known for their very feminine silhouette.

Using classic and modern the whole collection can be considered timeless. Also each of the dresses are surely flattering to a woman’s body. With a flattering silhouette anyone who would wear their dresses would surely be confident and sexy. Colour blocking was also one element that this collection boast. Aside from gorgeous silhouettes, the collection also sports elegance and can also be seen as playful. In a generation where every woman wants to feel gorgeous, this collection is a sure hit to everything a woman needs for an entire year. ( Like from Cocktails, to everyday look, to shopping with your gals) One really cool element that I really like was the fact that they used Zippers are part of the design features.

An Evening of Elegance with Madame Moje

Last on the evening's schedule was the piece de resistance - a fashion show by Madame Moje. This luxury designer is fairly new on the Vancouver scene, but is already known for fiercely feminine, modern classic silhouette-driven designs centering on signature body-hugging dresses, easy chic playsuits, knit separates, sleek jackets, sophisticated trenches and outerwear. For her it is all about what she would love to see in her closet. Most fabrics included at least a bit of stretch for comfort. My personal favourite was the off-the shoulder dress in a deep red above left. I'll let the images speak for themselves as seeing is so much better than describing! Want to see more - check out her boutique at 2843 Granville Street. And if you're heading toToronto for World Mastercard Fashion Week - she'll have her designs on the runway on Friday, March 21st, at 5 p.m.

Madame Moje look is very feminine and brings a sophisticated glamour as her dresses caress a women’s curves.

For spring summer, she has incorporated a lot of sensual lace patterns on both long and short dresses.

You will find her collection includes sexy body hugging dresses, play suits, knit separates for both day and evenings, plus some stylist trench coats which are all made in Canada.

As she only opened her boutique last April, Malashee Niadoo is now preparing to feature her fall winter 2014 collection at Toronto Fashion Week in March, so she is certainly a fashion designer I am going to watch out for.

A terrific evening where I have the pleasure of sitting in the front row with the beautiful and talented Mandy Ross, TV Host and Marilyn R Wilson, Senior Editor of Raine magazine.

STYLUST - A Night on the Town - The outfit - Madame Moje's One Sleeve Lace Dress

The Outfit

Valentino isn’t the only man to be enamored with the colour red. It is said to be the colour of danger and desire and men are actually most attracted to the women who wear the daring colour. What’s more, is that women have the exact same reaction to the colour as men do which can’t be bad for a little confidence boost for date night with your Valentine. What’s not to love? It’s sassy, evokes confidence, and will drive your man crazy.
